15 years building business web apps. For the last 8, mostly Laravel. Freelance since 2019, working with everyone from large accounts down to small businesses.
The way I work is pretty simple. I want to understand what you're actually trying to do before I start writing code. And I want to leave behind something the next developer can read without wanting to throw their laptop out the window. Tested, documented, no buried surprises.
Most of my recent stack is modern Laravel: Filament, Livewire, Pest, often with TypeScript and React on the front. I'm also reasonably comfortable with data-heavy work, including time-series on PostgreSQL.
Outside of client work, I teach in higher education (around 1,500 hours so far) and I run the local chapter of the French PHP User Association (AFUP). Meetups, conferences, that kind of thing. Both help me stay current and stay connected.
About AI: I use it a lot, but I treat it like a junior dev I'm responsible for. I frame the work, I review what comes out, I make the architectural calls. It makes me faster without the code quality going sideways, because at the end of the day I'm the one who has to answer for what ships.
