Bio

I'm a full-stack engineer specializing in PHP/Laravel with over 16 years of experience. I have a proven track record in both solo and team environments, with flexibility to adapt and excel in any role. Communication is my "superpower"; I'm able to translate complex information for engineers and stakeholders alike. I am proficient at quickly mastering new technologies and concepts, and seek out opportunites to do so constantly. Most of all, I'm passionate about delivering high-quality, scalable code and impactful software that creates delightful user experiences.

I'm an experienced Team Lead, but always stay hands-on in code as an individual contributor as well. I love solving real-world problems and coming up with creative solutions that push meaningful progress. I have authored and contributed to a plethora of web applications, websites, and mobile apps, and am especially keen on mentoring other engineers.

I am looking for work that continues to challenge me, and while I love and heavily use Laravel, I would welcome opportunities to expand outside of that realm and learn new technologies. I would be open to contract work or full-time employment - either way I am eager to help bring my dynamicism and professionalism to work for you and your team.

Outside of tech, I am a professional clarinetist, holding contracted seats with several professional symphonies and performing groups in my area. I also love playing disc golf, playing board games, and homebrewing! I've found a lot of shared interests among my engineer cohorts over the years, and it's helped me to build meaningful rapport and lasting relationships with my team members very quickly.
